Personal Information Management

Personal Information Management or PIM for short, is an application that is used to store, retrieve, organize and maintain personal information including mails, calender activities, websites and appointments. Simply put, it is an application that allows user to keep track of daily tasks that needs to be completed.

Our group decided to work on a PIM application called EssentialPIM Android which is an extension to the desktop version EssentialPIM application. This application can sync calender, to-do-list and notes with the desktop version of EssentialPIM and can also be used to sync with Google calender.

The interface used is a simple 4 icon-based interface that allows user to conveniently update their required tasks and keep it in sync with the desktop EssentialPIM.

A short introduction

The first post on this blog dedicated to HCI (SIM 3202 Group 1 2012/2013). We decided to work on the topic Personal Information Management (PIM) with University students as our targeted group.
